Description

The XRS1-900 shutter uses two opposed piezoelectric actuators to block the beam with two removable tungsten teeth. When energized, the actuators open to permit the beam to pass through. Options are available for ultra-high vacuum compatibility and the teeth are customizable with different beam blocking materials. For dynamic applications, a K-type thermocouple is incorporated to monitor temperature.
