DSM Precision Motion Control, System Integration

DSM designs, develops, and integrates the hardware and control electronics for custom high precision motion control and positioning applications. DSM's design portfolio includes piezoelectric actuators and positioning systems that incorporate flexure hinges for smooth continuous motion as well as more traditional motion control components including stepper motors, linear motors, and air bearings.

The following projects highlight a few of DSM's activities in custom development applications requiring either piezo-driven mechanisms or traditional electromagnetic actuators used in custom design assemblies. Depending upon the application and customer requirements, DSM can integrate a complete motion system based on custom components and/or industry standard equipment including National Instruments motion products. DSM is a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) and a NI Alliance Member with a focus on motion control.
