FPA-180E Flextensional Piezoelectric Actuator
 Description
DSM's FPA-180E is a flexure-guided piezoelectric actuator ideal for applications where fast and accurate positioning is required. The FPA-180E is mechanically preloaded to ensure bi-directional operation, providing increased resilience to mechanical loads when compared to non-preloaded actuators. The kinematic mechanism provides high-stroke operation in an exceptionally small package.
The FPA-180E's compact design is well-suited to space-sensitive and weight-sensitive applications and comes standard in a titanium design pre-tapped with threaded mounting holes (up to #2-56 or metric equivalent).

The FPA-180E actuator is generally manufactured with low voltage (150V) piezo material, but other piezo materials and voltages are available by request.
