LFPA-6000, LFPA-10000 Piezoelectric Actuators

LFPA-6000

Description

DSM's LFPA actuators were designed to oscillate biological specimens within the high magnetic field of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system. The actuators are constructed of titanium and other non-ferromagnetic materials. The two-stage amplification enables the designs to achieve translation ranges of 6 and 10 mm, respectively, at the mechanisms' output.

Models

The LFPA actuators are generally manufactured with low voltage (150V) piezo material, but other piezo materials and voltages are available by request.

Custom Actuators

DSM has extensive experience in actuator design for specialized force or stroke requirements. Customers are encouraged to contact DSM regarding any specific actuator requests.
